On a sealed set can you request just one coin be graded??

I have a couple of uncirculated annual dollar sets where ASE has some NT and I'd like to submit them and feel they have a better chance of being accepted as NT is still sealed in set.

Having said that I really don't want to grade the 5 other dollars.

Can a sealed set be submitted with request to grade less than all coins in set??

Yes PCGS can grade just one coin in the set and then return the others back to you with your graded coin.
I think PCGS charges a little extra for removing coins from mint packaging.

Send in 100 sets and ask them to grade the highest graded coin with the greatest value in each set! image

Is this new? Since the $8 handling fee went into effect?

Since the graders never see the way the coins were received, you have no better chance of having them "accepted as NT" if they're provided in the sealed set.

Way I read the rules on sealed sets being submitted was you had to have all coins graded. I would think this question is one for our friends at 1-800-447-8848.
