Lord M, I posted a topic about my copy stand about a year ago. Made by a nice guy in WA. It breaks down, is light and is portable. Would be a good one for ya. Made by ebay user rigi75. He doesn't have any listed right now but I emailed him a year ago and was able to customize the length of the column. And if I remember right it wasn't more then a hundred. Coinkid, very nice pics. It is a pretty fun experience learning the ins and outs and how best to light and shoot your coins for others to Ohhh and Ahh over. I look forward to getting back to it this summer.
had a 10% ebay coupon $20 with the ebay bucks purchase $4 and i randomly got the display model $20 so $44 discount which was nice
the lamps diameter (large) is a little frustrating but some slight adjustments and all is ok
the D90 and sigma work well with this combination
remote - a must -speeds up the process ac adapter - a must - no stopping due to dead batteries diffusion filter - for the just-right look 2-3 lights - for maximum control and diversity right bulbs - almost as important as the camera
Comments
all the ones I liked on their site were generally $1000

That Sigma lens seems real nice.
