New camera, some newps and some oldps, for Saturday

Still working on imaging. I think this is the best I have so far, so time to finally post some pics! I am always open to feedback on the pics or coins. Still working on improving the lighting, and am experiencing some white balance problems. Proofs definitely hardest to image. Toning seems to be a choice of angling the coin and showing the colors or straight on and showing the coin in focus. Raw coins much easier to image than slabs.

If anyone wants to guess grades, fire away! But the coins are not part of some giveaway!!!

One more Seated Half:

Finally, an Oregon half. The first image has correct white balance, but loses all the color on the coin -makes it look dipped! The second image, the WB is off, but looks more like the coin in hand. Not sure how to fix this!

    They look good, but you need to adjust the white balance image

    Thanks for sharing. Some nice coins! The 55-O has a very nice look. I have a tough time getting the look just right on the photos, too. Constant battle - good luck with it!

    Yes, totally agree. It seems like the right WB for one coin is totally different for the next coin...even though the rest of the set up doesn't change (same lens, camera position, light position, etc.) I'm not sure why I am getting such inconsistency in the WB.

    You need to do a custom adjustment to the WB to the lighting and lens your using.

    Am reading through the manuals on how to do this. Looks a bit complicated! But I shall do my best and play around with it. Thanks for the idea!
