I guess we'll find out soon enough!

There's a small obv spot and what looks like some dings on the rev rim.
It might turn out to be worth $25 or not worth much. I'd pass on it, not much upside.
<< <i>Even being cleaned, the color looks off. Are you sure it's not a fake?

<< <i>Clearly genuine. Color looks fine. Looks 64RD.

I disagree. I think it was whizzed. The luster looks off to me...
-Paul
"whizzing
Term to describe the process of mechanically moving the metal of a lightly circulated coin to simulate luster. Usually accomplished by using a wire brush attachment on a high-speed drill."
Not whizzed....no way...I'm sure most have seen 1909's that have a super satiny finish on them like this one, I took a couple photos today when I received it from an angle similar to the OP's pics and got the same result that he/she did.........
All in all it's got nice color and great satiny lustre but it is kind of baggy looking in the obv. fields...Imo a 63-64 Red...
but im not familiar with mpl

I don't see any serious problems from those photos. Looks fine to me.
Lance.
But, only 1 person on the forum has had it in hand and the rest of us are just going by a picture that can show slightly differently (color) on different monitors.
I will withhold any guessing and just say, "If Eric likes it, and since he already has it in-hand, then that's all good and was likely well worth the $20"
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
