  I do not see any separation in the serifs, meaning I think it is machine doubling.

  Now, for my opinion.
  
  The coin is machine doubling. You can tell by the flat shelf and the lack of split serifs.

  The coin was NOT on ebay... I too agree with everyone that the coin is MDD/shelve doubling. The only thing I had
  questioned was the way the 1 in the date came up out from behind the other 1 (at the top)...
