Some of the Eliasberg silver coins are now

bright as the sun,in holders with the Eliasberg pedigree. How would the services know it is the coin from the auction they are certifying? I know you needed the auction invoice but you could really send in any coin with the invoice. They clearly would not match the plate coin, or the auction description. Were alot of the Elisberg coins cleaned after the auction? I have seen two that clearly were, I forget which ones as I was just casually browsing websites when I did. Anyone have any info?

to establish pedigree with any worthwhile TPG requires more than just submitting an invoice

The B&M flips containing the Eliasberg coins were heat sealed with their name on the seal, and I can't remember if the tags were also sealed. This would be enough to get the pedigree on a raw coin, but if you still had a raw Eliasberg coin today and sent it in, it would probably be returned unholdered due to PVC.

Ah yes - I think TDN solved this riddle. image

You mean the sealed flip from 1996?

Not a bad idea if they were in a sealed PVC flip for 15 years.
