Ah, previous feedback on a roll of "CC"s. I don't know whether I jest. I never saw an original roll of Morgans, although I understand that they did exist. But a roll of "CC"s? Hmmmmmm.

That is the reason I asked.................image

I am familiar with original rolls of CC dollars. I found an old dealer's price list from the mid-1950's that quoted I think $55 for an original roll of 1885-CC's.

That said, however, if YOU owned the roll, wouldn't you open it and get the best coins certified, so that they would bring the best prices?

See this thread for discussion of an auction of a similar roll.

I own a bunch of unopened OBW silver, but not of this value. My problem is time. Even the ones I opened for the end toners, I have never gone back to actually look at the coins.image

For that price you can buy a full 20 coin roll of CC dollars on ebay and know
what you are getting. No surprises or disappointments.

    No Such Bank.

This fake roll scam has been the subject of a number of threads.

I also note the seller likes old silver dollars

Please excuse me... but I just can't help but notice... you don't have time to look at your coins BUT you do have time to post over 10,000 posts to a forum to yak about coins... kinda funny if ya ask me... yeah, I know... you didn't ask... but I said it anyway imageimageimage
Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image

I know. Kinda pitiful, isn't it? I order boxes of Kennedys from the Mint faithfully every year, and the last year I actually opened the boxes was 2007.image I order several multiples of Proof Sets, Silver Proof Sets, Prezbuck Sets, and Uncirculated Sets, and the last time I took a cursory glance at them was about 2008. I started looking at some of the silver proofs to see if I had any potential 70s, and I never got through them!! I just stopped, and put them away.

Except for the 2010 Mint Sets, which I tore into when I read the Coin World Article about some of the 2010 Sacs with Missing Edge Lettering.image

I post here as I'm working during the day, and sometimes posting is more fun than working. Scratch that - posting is USUALLY more fun than working.image

Seems like everyone is getting in on the act, the ol CC State Trust Bank.
These have been discussed extensively over the past few weeks.
This is a different seller, same ol pitch, estate, unsearched, blah, blah, blah.
Maybe I should do the same, brown paper bag, common unc Morgans, one or two CC's
and a CC State Trust Bank stamp, instant insano profit. Current bid is at $4150 for 10 Morgans, crazy.
Looks like "allraritiesllc" and "heatherr8384" have the monopoly, descriptions are very similar, hmmmmmmmm.

And there was a link, but I forgot how to search through the archives.

I support the notion that the bank possibly existed.

  • Another City Trust Seller

Here's another Morgan Roll seller, considering that there at one time existed 5 "rare roll" sellers on eBay, these rolls are definitely not rare.
