    Gold filled. The 1/15th indicates how thick the 10kt gold layering is.

    Is the thickness 1/15th of an inch, mm, micron, or what?

    I always thought that 1/x indicates the percentage of weight is of that fineness. For example, 1/20 14K would mean that 5% of the item's weight is 14K gold.

    Please correct me if I am mistaken.

    Most jewelry that's plated (even heavily plated) don't have much gold content.
