Is the US mint repricing the 2010 silver proof sets? Back on sale at $56.95. Load up time?

I notice the annual coin set page is down on the US mint website. May be repricing the 2010 silver proof sets upward to reflect higher silver prices?

<< <i>I see most coins are down, even the dollar direct ship program. I wonder why ?? >>

I heard thru the grapevine that the US mint was going to cancel the direct ship program. Scammers were buying the direct ship coins from the mint and turning them back in to the bank at face value. They were doing this for all the free miles or points on their credit cards from the large face value purchase. This is happening so much that the banks are complaining about ot to the mint.

subtract out the $5.06 in proof coins and you have 5 silver quarters, the silver half and silver dime.

    56.95 - 5.06 = 51.89

Silver needs to rise to $38.775 to make the $51.89 equal to the melt value of the silver.

The Mint will not change the pricing until silver goes above $38.50. I heard this from the source.

Just talked my co-worker who is a silver bullion buyer to pick one up. He told me to convince him why, I said " You are buying exposure to silver for a small premium (about $5 at this point) and you are limiting the downside of your exposure with the future numismatic value of the set.

    Done.

It was the better deal...it looks like the Mint is repricing them though. No word on when they'll be back on sale.
