Huell Howser, Long Beach TV segment air dates

Charmy Harker and others earlier posted messages about Los Angeles television personality Huell Howser visiting the recent Long Beach Expo. Huell just phoned me with the planned broadcast dates for the episode of "Visiting With Huell Howser" that will contain a segment about the Long Beach Coin, Stamp & Collectibles Expo and his tableside visit with Fred Holabird to see (and hold) the nearly 100-ounce gold Washington Nugget.
It will air on KCET-TV (channel 28) in Los Angeles at 7:30 p.m. on both Monday, March 7, and Thursday, March 17, 2011, and undoubtedly be repeated over coming months (and years). In a few weeks, I may have a link for a streaming video of the entire show or the specific segment.
Here's a photo I shot (without flash so I would not disrupt videotaping) of Long Beach Expo General Chairman Ron Gilllio with Huell Howser.

Those two photos were shot without a flash because I did not want to interrupt the videotaping. Charmy, you were showing Huell an Indian Head cent, but I don't recall the date. He's holding the encapsulated coin while you're describing it.
And, yes, Huell Howser, is one of the nicest on-air people I've met (and in a 30-year broadcasting career, there were not all that many former radio or TV colleagues who truly fit the description, "nice"). Although he was on a tight schedule at the Long Beach Expo, I didn't see Huell refuse any autograph requests or decline to stop and take his picture with anyone who asked. Quite professional and a gentleman.

<< <i>For us East coasters.....any way of someone 'youtubing' it (and linking it), or other ways of allowing us to see it? I'd love to see it, but, like I said, being an east coaster, no way of seeing it.......thanks! >>
I have no idea how to do this, or if it's even possible. If it is, can someone explain it to me and I'll give it a try. I have a dvr, but don't know how to transfer any recorded shows onto the computer.

I can just hear him "you mean this penny is worth a THOUSAND DOLLARS? Whew boy, I'm gonna have to go home and check under my sofa cushions"
Dude's a hoot. There isn't a dirt road in the state of California that ole Huell can't find something of it to marvel about.

To bad Huell only collected pennies [his word] and not dimes and quarters. Silver coins from his childhood would be worth a bunch now.
<< <i>Upon checking the schedules it doesn't appear the episode will air on the Bay Area channels so if somebody can upload the episode on YouTube that would be great. >>
I uploaded the visiting segment with Charmy Harker. She shows off a nice Indian cent toner.

* Oh, oh, I am playing back my upload now, and I expected only two minutes. The first two minutes have sound. The second half is the same video but no sound. Not sure what I did wrong, or if it is a bug in the free editing software that I used to chop the video. Anyway, just watch the first two minutes and enjoy.

<< <i>Red Tiger, very cool, thank you - how did you do that? >>
You are welcome.
I have a USB WinTV device on my computer. The setup cost about $100 with a decent antenna. With it, I can watch live TV or record to the hard drive. The device records in MPEG format, which is a big file, 1.5 gigabytes for 25 minutes at low resolution. So there is another required step to chop the segment out, and reformat for efficient upload. For that I used a free program called AnyVideoConverter. The last step was to create a YouTube account and follow their steps for upload.
<< <i>RedTiger....thanks....I think I was #1 to watch the segment. Charmy, you sounded great! I don't have to say how you looked
Notsure, thank you, I was really worried how it would turn out since I was caught completely off guard, and didn't even know who Huell Howser was at the time of the interview, nor that it was for a tv station! I didn't even have a chance to put on some lipstick!
