Promoting Coin Shows

I live in NE Indiana and we just do not have many coin shows in this area. I was into cards a long time ago anf thought about putting one of those shows on but at that time we have to many of those. So can a collector promote a small local coin show? Do you think it would be possible to get enough dealer/collectors to set up? This is just something I have been thinking about.

There's a dealer here locally who did just that, his first show he promoted was 10 years ago. Still going strong.

the #1 question should be will the public support the show?

If they do, the dealers will come, I promise that!

The biggest thing is, keep the expense of having the show as low as possible. For instance, if the location or venue you want to have the show at, will charge a fee for the space. If you find an adequate venue with a low fee, that will be divided amongst the dealers of course, all the better.

The place I am looking at right now has room for 40 8' tables. So tables would be around $25 ea.
