Looks like I'll be starting radiation this coming week...

for a new tumor that showed up in my left upper arm. This one is in the bone as oppossed to my pelvic tumor (on the bone) which makes this one pretty serious. I am currently in danger of breaking the arm due to bone weakness (so says the oncologist).

Anyway, please chear me up by posting your electrically toned, radiating World goodies and I promise to someday soon list the Jerusalem Collection! And, if you are person of prayer; PLEASE and THANKS in advance!
Lurker since '02. Got the seven year itch!

    Have done the radiation thing, not as difficult as chemo, just tedious. Approach it like any job, follow the rules and it will soon be over. Also realize that lots of prayers and good wishes are flowing your way.

    I posted a neutron-irradiated Roosevelt dime over on the Liteside version of this thread, but since this is the Darkside, well, here...

    Recreation of the seller's original scan (though mine is bigger and not as dark). Doesn't look like much "electricity" goin' on there, does it?

    image

    Now, my first pitiful attempts at photographing it:

    image

    And finally, blu62vette's photo of it:

    image

    I still have yet to find the photograph that ideally matches this coin's "look". It is off at NGC right now with most of the rest of my daughter's collection, and they are photographing it, too, but I have never tried their photo service before. At $3/coin, I don't expect much.

    All of this over a tiny little coin that cost me $9.99 originally. But hey, it's been a longtime favorite.

    8R, as I mentioned on the Liteside, my prayers are with you.

    I agree with garneteye - just follow the instructions. Went through 9+ weeks of radiation myself last summer and found ways to enjoy the experience.

    Lots of prayers going out that your path is as smooth as mine was!

    UPDATE;

    My wife and I had a consultation at the University of Miami this morning. The doctor feels that the radiation for both areas can be administered in 14 daily (M-F) sessions. I have complete peace about this type of treatment irradicating both tumors (arm and pelvis).
    CICF (4/14-17), here I come!
