had to back up and edit more, hang on you overly stuffed on excess coffee-types!
somebody is hung on listing one of NNC's Morgans in about 4 different date slots on Collector's Corner,
it seems maybe it's like I suggested, the lister was out-to-lunch,
takes one to know one, doesn't it Mark?

has the same stupid Morgan listed as a 1916 Walker, a 1921 Walker, a 1923-S Walker, and on...
just realized when doing the earlier edit that it's for the same Morgan, or I haven't found different ones yet. Like I said, maybe it's a mistake and not really spam.
ed. - OK, here's a reformatted sentence for most of you, maybe it was not perfect sentence structure for the first thing, early on a Sunday morning, but I have seen a LOT worse around here...

This is why I appreciate complete sentences.
The problem with a self-appointed forum cop is when they start wanting to edit what people are saying, even if it's within PCGS guidelines.
What gives them the right to try and dictate the CONTENT of your coin or PCGS-related message?
Go and edit the spelling and grammar used on these boards why don't you, nosy ol' forum cop? That'll keep you plenty busy and I'm sure PCGS won't get tired of hearing from you.
Does the forum cop even realize the "audience" being written to? Think about this, how often must one be an "insider" around here in order to understand the message? How many messages are actually written to a newbie's/beginner's level?
Is the message intended for PCGS themselves or maybe for a seasoned veteran or longtime lurker of these boards who likely has a good understanding of topics relating to PCGS and coins? Or is the message intended for the vast world of coin newbies?
I believe the self-appointed forum cop better watch their step quite carefully. In none too many words, shut the flock up.
The forum cop might be better served if they were to spend their time being a true, helpful, coin professional, not some early morning message board critic. With a little practice that forum cop might be able to make their own helpful, original post. When was the last time they did, anyway?
Posting that at 4:47 am is not helping your position

Your attack on Mr. Feld is completely unwarranted. Your OP to this thread was nothing more than rambling. You post no link to substantiate your babbling.
You can catch more flies with honey, than vinegar!
The title to the thread, and the OP, are not that clear (hence the edit) and even then, it sure wasn't an easy read.
If one wants to get their point across, one should try to be a bit clear and not short and cryptic.
And, Mark wasn't even "forum copping" you, JSF. The way I read his post was one where he is letting you know that your thread is obtuse and not easy to understand.
He was actually be helping to you, if you cared and wanted any kind of agreement/interest in your thread.
Oh well, guess that axe you have to grind with him, for whatever reason, is getting pretty heavy, eh?
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
FWIW, I barely understood the OP in his first post. A little context and perspective always helps. Try the limerick format next time

yeah, that's all too tough to figure out.
I'm sure if PCGS doesn't mind them misusing the listing, the offending company should go on and include their garage sales items for the weekend as well?
what bothers me more are the dealers who regularly relist the same coins over and over on the collectors corner. Because they do that, if I have one of those coins on a want list of mine I get an email of a new coin matching my list. Of course, it's hardly ever a new coin, but just one that is bumped by the dealers. I'm not sure if dealers are doing this intentionally or if they are just not using the system correctly, but it has made the want list feature of the collectors corner have much less value.

The title "Spamming PCGS" is misleading, hence the question. Yeah, it's really hard to figure out via the information the OP presented.

Did you ever work within the Wisconsin school district?
If so, that would answer so many questions.
When you read the subsequent post, it is very easy to see what the rant is about, but only in retrospect. For those still in the dark, I will reinterpret the OP with a nod to proper and polite grammar. Here goes:
"Gentlemen,
I was perusing the Collectors Corner area of this website this fine Sunday morning and could not help but notice that the numismatic listings from Northern Nevada Coin (aka Broken CC and sometimes NNC), have Morgans appearing as misdated Walkers or some such indignity. I highly suspect that the miscreants who work for NNC are trying to unlawfully get our attention in some sort of bait-and-switch scheme. Alternatively, they may have had a syncopal episode while uploading their inventory. Either way, I am most bewildered and annoyed by this state of affairs, enough that I thought it appropriate to point out to my colleagues on the US Coin Forum.
Warmest regards, JSF
PS Shove it, Feld"

Am I going crazy here or what.
I see by the replies to this thread that I am not the only member who does not see any thought in the quoted post above.
So JSF, clarify for us how anyone with any amount of intelligence would get what your point is from the drivel quoted above?

Too many of you think the OP was intended JUST for you. Like I mentioned, perhaps you were not the intended "audience", eh? I believe I've posted enough here that M.F. should've known I wasn't writing for or addressing the general membership. Yet he found it necessary to comment and correct.
It was intended to catch the attention of a moderator (if one is even around on Sunday mornings?) who may have read it and forwarded it in an email to the powers that be at PCGS who might be interested in it. I don't appreciate any company who abuses good tools, such as Collector's Corner, kindly provided us by PCGS. An experienced moderator would have figured this out pdq, I imagine. Maybe not. At least one person seems to have understood.
Come to think about it, that is, percentage-wise, just about normal here isn't it? I hope certain ones of you wear self-draining boots, 'cause you sure don't have enough sense to pour that yellow stuff out of them, even if they had instructions written on the heel.
and no MOC, this is not about NNC-graded coins being passed off as PCGS-graded coins. That sounds like something I should leave up to you.
ed.- Good morning my fellow lame brains!
...and for those of you who think this degenerated into a "Mark-hater" post (that came from YogiBerraFan doing his best to stir the pot), well, that's just something you're reading into it. I always had cordial communications with M.F. in the past, but he better learn darn quick that I won't put up with any self-righteous bs from him. I must admit, I was and am pretty sick of the way he plays forum cop with a lot of the people who post, or used to post I should say.
...obtw, RRich2004, Mr. member-for-a-month, you haven't even seen a good attack, yet, and what I posted was far from an attack. ...and M.F. forfeited the right to claim the title "Mr." a long time ago by virtue of the way he chose to harangue so many people over their posts, over and over and over. You weren't even here then.
...and Bochibutt, it's so nice to see you watched Shawshank Redemption, learning the word "obtuse." It's good to see you improving your command of the English language.

and links? I posted the "where" and "what" to my observation in my OP. Once again, figure it out from there, if you can. Otherwise, I'm sure you've heard this, move on.

Oh, so that's what this is about. Thanks for the explanation.
Jsf - Do you mind if I talk for a little bit, while you, um, catch your breath? Now that I understand, I think I agree, this could conceivably be construed as "spamming." Why didn't you just clarify that from the start instead of reacting so provocatively to the first reply? You'd have saved us all, including yourself, a lot of grief.
OK, you "alerted" us. You performed an invaluable public service. Now what? Don't you think you ought to be "alerting" the administrators of that website? If you're right, its intended purpose is being undermined, isn't it? Something is out of whack, there.

Besides coins and motorcycles another passion of mine is puzzles. I liked the OP. I read it a few times, furrowed my brows, and figured it out.
I've never had much success with CC. No photos, poor photos, coin's not available, dealer's not available. Haven't stumbled on a lot of wrong coins. I just don't use it anymore.

The OP has already indicated that his thread title and first post (since edited one or more times) were his means of making the right people aware of the situation.
