Thats funny...my dad was on the Kearsarge too when they picked up Grissom and a couple of the others...my dad interacted with Grissom on board after the pickup and had a totally different view of what happened, ie: the hatch was not released accidentally. But of course the coolest of the cool (ie: astronauts back then) could never be portrayed as losing their cool.
