My buddy called yesterday in a panic had sent a box with the pucks in it, i told him to make sure you always use signature required, well the guy sold him the regular tracking number one, and yes the package was left on the porch. Lucky the girl came home and found it and was honest enough. I always use signature required now and the priority boxes with usps have never failed me.

If you're referring to the mint SNAFU, that was a contract problem. the mint didn't contract for signature confirmation. Fedex offers the same signature confirmation option as everyone else. I use them for high value international shipments.
This perception issue why companies work so hard to manage their image. you don't want someone else's problem to get blamed on you.
I was always under the impression that coins/bullion were not able to be insured with FedEx. Perhaps that has changed? I'm not blanket insured like many dealers and do rely on the USPS insurance feature.

Someone posted, yesterday on another thread, that they work at Fedex and that Fedex will now insure coins, but there may be some hoops to jump through to ship correctly.

You're correct. One would need private insurance. I'd note, though, that there are other things besides coins sold on eBay.
In any event, adding FedEx to the mix is useless without calculated shipping.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
