Just a nice, low-grade "Redbook" variety Draped Bust Half Cent

1806 Small 6, Stems (Cohen-2)

Housed (and appropriately graded) in an NGC VG 8 holder, this coin would grade by "EAC" standards as an 8/7, average plus.

This is the kind of coin that is perfect for a lower-grade type set. The quality with respect to the grade is solid. It's one of the few coins that I own because I like the variety.

Have a good day,

Greg

I love the look of this one! I am working on a 7070 and this will be the grade range for the older stuff.

    Love the circ early copper.

  • I agree with Ga, that is one good looking classic with plenty of meat left on her bones! Nice pick-up!

I like it. I have a soft spot for low grade, totally original and problem free coins. It really makes me happy for some reason.

Nice coin. Thanks for sharing. Question: What do you like about the variety?

It does appear to have porosity though. I don't think the eac grade would be as high.

The 1806 Small 6, stems is a somewhat challenging coin, even in the lower grades if you do not want a lump of coal or a coin laden with problems. Although it's not as rare as purported, it has "condition rarity."

Here's mine. I don't post my half cents too often, because on this monitor most of them look only like dark brown-black circles.

I like them all. I guess I'm too easy.
