Washington quarter color question?

jesbrokenjesbroken Posts: 10,612 ✭✭✭✭✭
I have this 1958 P Washington Quarter that I have had for many years. I honestly do not remember it being this colorful. It has been stored in a Dansco album for three years and before that a 2x2. Unfortunately, I am a poorphotographer at best and all my pics come out grainy. The coin is actually truly lustrous, especially the reverse which screams its color and lustre. My question is would this coin grade or be BB'd for at color. No way this coin was intentionally colored, but was by nature or cardboard or whatever. But still yet, I know these days every copper coin is suspect immediately. I am not a toned coin collector, but have my yearly free submission and this is one of 5 Washington Quarters I was going to send in. Just need some advice on this issue.
Thanks----Jim

That looks like a normal tone for 1958 P mint coin from a double mint set.

I agree that it has typical toning. I have a few similar examples somewhere.

    Jim,

As stated above, this is a common look to the 1958 issues and
here is one I used to own that is quite similar. It is in a PCGS
MS-67 slab. It was graded around the mid '90's. Of course there
are no guarantees what the graders would do today.

This one is a much darker plum color than shown and exudes
    abundant luster.
