Contemporary Counterfeits

Bought a collection today that was passed down from a family member who owner a grocery store and pharmacy from 1917-1952.

They threw all counterfeits in a bag and these are a few of them...

Because all of the coins are so worn out, it makes it difficult to tell the counterfeits...

I agree, hard to tell. Some of those walkers look real? How do you know they are fakes?

I have a collection of those actually.. I must have 15 or more fake Barber Halves alone.

Those are usually some sort of pot metal, but be VERY careful handling them, USE GLOVES!!

Why? Lots of them are mercury plated lead!

How much is a contemporary counterfeit Barber half dollar worth? I have one that was in a collection I bought about 10-15 years ago.
