AnkurJAnkurJ Posts: 11,370 ✭✭✭✭
So I took a chance on this one and purchased this from the BST from member Tdec. I liked the look of it, and in hand it looks just as nice!
And it was recently approved by CAC as well!

YATZEE!

Ankur, the scratches weren't from me. I try my best to take good care of my slabs. I tried plastix also with no luck.

here are a few other pictures of your newp... You are more than welcome to use these pictures for yourself. The color on this baby is intense!!

You will not be successful in taking scratches off NGC slabs. Or at least in my experience, the slabs patience has outdone my patience. I'm I have a lot of patience! Try Mr. Goodman's method of running the lights parallel to the direction of the scratches.

Yea I was thinking about that yesterday. I hate NGC slabs with scratches...
Plastx works so well on PCGS plastic, but doesnt always on NGC.

Got the color/Proof surfaces, just slightly out of focus.
Running lights in the same direction of the scratches worked well.

I'm surprised it CAC'd considering they state they won't sticker coins with obvious hits in the prime focal areas. I'm assuming that white disturbance on the upper jaw is a cut and not on the holder. The dozen or so obv spots don't help either.

The dig is not very noticable in hand as it is in the pics. As for the spots, JA said you need a loupe to see them, and the eye appeal of the coin outweighs them.
