    25 out of 30 what?
    Auction buying spree?
    Grade results?
    When in doubt, don't.

    WTG, Ankur!

Now tell us...do you agree with the CAC opinions? How do you feel about the 5 that's didn't make the grade? Have your two experiences with CAC changed your mind about your coins and what you'll keep or collect?

    You guys are probably right.
I haven't put any of my coins up for sale yet so I personally see no need.
But I see your point and would probably go that route when I start to sell.

Ankur 2, Me 1. I need to catch up! image

I went 18/20 today... very pleased with my results.

I have found that after the coins are looked at I tend to give them a very critical look, and as a rule, I tend to agree with the ones that do and do not sticker. I suppose that, for me, it's helping to train my "eye" and any education is indeed a good one, no?

  • I don't get the CAC thing. You have a OGH in an AU55. What would a sticker do to improve that coin? It is what it is.

In some cases I do agree, in some I do not. The ones that did not sticker I honestly expected a few of them wouldnt. There were a few surprises, and when speaking with JA, I see what he is pointing out more clearly than when I looked at the coin myself. One of the reasons I got most of my better coins CAC'd is because of health issues and uncertainty of the future. And if my wife needed to sell these coins, that she get good money for them. Some of the coins that do not sticker, I do sell, but many of them I keep because I simply love the coin regardless. I was hoping to get my entire bust half set CAC'd, and now most of them are.

Speaking with JA, I have learned what to watch out for, and what does not look original. It has helped me also appreciate originality in coins.
As an example, this $2.50 gold piece. As soon as I saw the original skin on it, I knew it was a PQ coin, and it looked better than a 55 to me.
