I am getting into medals. When someone references "Baker", is that a book? If so what is the title?

"Medallic Portraits of Washington" - it is a core reference.
Lots of different editions of it, there are.
The original was by Baker. 1885 if memory serves.
I recommend the update published by Krause, done by Rulau and Fuld.

Baker, W. S. Medallic Portraits of Washington. Philadelphia: Robert M. Linsay, 1885. Reprinted as Rulau-Fuld, 1985.

The original feels better in hand, but get the updated one for the extra info.
