I am amazed that you keep finding coins like these 2. I must not be looking in the right places.

<< <i>That queller coin looks amazing. I always looked for queller and prouty when I was collecting.... >>
John, I happen to have one other Queller (actually McClerg, Queller) CBH with some amazing toning as well, my 1820 O-103a, also one of my favorites.
1812 ms62
1823 ms64 or 65
1820 ms63
My guesses follow.

Thanks Lance.
Believe me, I'd love to upgrade my AU busties to MS but I'm afraid my pockets are not THAT deep, although I wish.
Interesting guesses so far.........keep them coming.
I have no idea about their grades though.
On the 1812, it looks like a gnat is coming in for a landing right into a cave!
"Got a flaming heart, can't get my fill"
au 58
ms 63
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

Either that, OR lady liberty just sneezed and is blowing out something not very lady like
I saw the 1812 on heritage I beleive, but decided to pass because of the scratch in the left obverse.
My guesses are:
AU55
AU58
PCGS Registries
Box of 20
SeaEagleCoins: 11/14/54-4/5/12. Miss you Larry!

"Interesting", huh? Okay...tell us this. Is that rub on the 1812 or as struck? Could easily be a 62.
I'm too dazzled by the '23 to think straight.

Ok, here is the 1812 in it's holder with the grade covered up, does it help with your question as to the rub and give you a better idea of the grade?

Ughh the grades showing in the code
OK, so it's a 62. Still looks to me like a "liner"......
Who really cares? The coin is the coin is the coin.

You sure about that?
Any more guesses on the grades?
I'm just not seeing it what everyone is referring to, thanks.
I'll guess AU55 and AU58 on the first two, though an unc. grade on the 1823 wouldn't surprise me. It's understandably, hard to get a good look at the surfaces, due to their reflectivity. I think PL Bust Halves are awesome looking coins.
I also dont see the any rub Dave. I know I the 1812 I said I wanted to say 58 but went with 62. When I first started collecting the cbh the 1812 gave me a hard time. I would always see the flat nostril and think it was rub.
The hair behind the ear always has a rub look to it even up the 63 and a few 64 grades. Unless you have a very highend 65-67 all cbh's have a few metal flow problems. I see nothing that I would consider rub on either.
I like them both just waiting to find out the grade on the 1823 (hopefully not an AU, then my theory would be ruined)
Gary
As for the the 1823, if you can believe it is graded AU58. It was recently sent in for regarding and unfortunately stayed at AU58
And, BTW the 1820 O-103 (Ex. McClerg, Queller) pictured in this thread also got upgraded from MS62 to 63
