Something not seen everyday

Going by the date within (1946) i'm guessing this was Dansco's first Mercury dime folder. Published by Daniel Stamp Co , Santa Monica Calif. It's pristine and not been used.(yet) Almost seems a shame to use it now.

  • Nice..I bought some a while back with circulated coins in them.....nice toning on them...I'd fill it with Unc. Silver Dimes and put it away for 10 years or so..image

  • Thanks guys , it'll be difficult to put a coin in it , the folder is older than i am but better condition. I do have a date set of Mercs and a few rolls of them as well as Unc Rosies , i think i'll take your idea and go with it Sumoradaimage

    I noticed that too Baley , didn't know what to make of it til i seen it was printed/published by a stamp company.

    Make sure if you are putting unc dimes in the book that you have the book on a nice hard surface and go in at an angle so they go in easier!

    Hate to disappoint you, but that isn't their 1st generation of coin storage. I have a Daniel Stamp Co. Indian cent ring binder which predates the folder. image The folder is in exceptional condition though. Those often are impaired by punctures.
