How is everyone calculating coins for sale?

what does everyone go by when pricing coins to sell? ive seen in the past 13x face or less or more???? Im looking at selling my collection and just want to get in the right dirrection when doing so.

A lot will depend on what makes up your collection.
If you want just general sources for pricing, I use numismedia, eBay completed listings, Whitman price guide is fairly close to FMV, and local dealers listings, plus Grey Sheet.
If you're talking pre-64 90% silvers, those are anywhere from 18.5 to 20xface value, again depending on the dealer you take them to.
If you're talking about gradable pre64 it will depend on rarity vs commonality, grade, condition, etc, again using some of those sources for pricing I mentioned above.
Proof sets and unc Mint sets, 60 - present are somewhere in the neighborhood of $10 - $15 over original issue price, with some having a premium because of an ending series, i.e. statehood quarters which ended in 2008 and thus the 2008 proof sets are retailing between $67 - $88.
