The monthy Parsippany coin show is going to take place this Sunday from about 9am to 2pm. I hope to set up again and offer basic coin photography as I did last month.
As of right now, I will be set up in the small room in the front of the building. Basic front and back images will be $5 per coin, and fully edited with slab label shots will be $10 each. Edited images will be emailed after the show. Hope to see some of you there!

I shall make an appearance.
but damn... if you other three yahoos are gonna be there, I just might have to stay home...
I'll be there... as always... but my table will be looking a whole lot different... after all, I am an Authorized PCGS Dealer now...
And as it has happened before the last few shows, gold and silver are going up!

I have been real busy at work as I have suddenly been faced with a deluge of new clients, not seen at a rate since 2004. But maybe good to take a few hours break.

Brought 10 coins with me and sold 9 of them. Made a profit on all of them. Some I have had for as much as 5 years, some I bought just this week and haven't even gotten the bill from the cc company yet. Sold an NGC MS69 SAE for $30. I had gotten this from Teletrade from their rewards program so it was "free". It had milk spots which I had mentioned in another thread. Was happy to get rid of it.
Sold 1986-W PCGS PR69 $50 gold for $1410. This is the coin I just bought this week. Made $80 on it. The price guide said this is worth a lot more but no one was willing to go higher. sold a 2007-W PCGS PR69 $50 for the same price as well. The guy who bought it said he would have paid $100 more if it was raw and I had the packaging and COA.
Sold a 2005 PCGS MS69 $50 gold First Strike for $1360. It seemed no one cared that it was graded. It might as well have been raw.
Sold 3 AU graded ANACS $5 gold for $355 each. Sold a ANACS AU $2 1/2 gold for $305.
Could not sell an NGC MS70 Early Release 2010 $50 gold. I was offered from spot to $1400 for it.
Sold an NCS 1795 50c cleaned with VF details. Had this for 5 years and basically made a few bucks on it (enough for lunch). glad to be rid of it. I felt buried in this coin for a long time. In retrospect, it was an expensive lesson.
Bought 3 pennies for my Whitman holder that I have been trying to fill since I was a little kid. 6 more holes to fill. You can probably guess the dates. Paid less than $10 for those 3 coins.
Observations: Modern MS70 does not pay when it is time to sell. Modern MS69 might as well be raw. Stay away from ANACS and ICG coins as they are hard to get rid of. Stay away from problem coins. No one wants them. If they do, you will get a fraction of the sheet for them.
Other observations: coins are incredibly liquid. You may not get the price you want or even the price you paid but someone, somewhere will always whip out hundred dollar bills and give you something for it.
Saw Larry from SeaEagle coins. Saw Ankurj who was unfortunately for him in the small little room next to the large room. You can almost miss this room. If someone hadn't mentioned this room in another thread, I would have walked past it. This is a worth while show to attend.
Oh, and there is security in the parking lot, the Parsippany Police actually keep a close eye on it and there's a plainclothes officer in the parking lot at all times.
Unfortunately, frequently the Parsippany police are there writing parking tickets... watch the signs on the street.
