<< <i>"Thank you for super fast pay, your item is equally quickly on it's way."

Do you think this is appropriate feedback for a buyer who threatens to leave negative feedback if the seller doesn't give him a partial refund? >>

Positive you mean ? I'm being honest , it would be too late for me as i'd given positive feedback on payment , i don't lose any sleep over it.I got held for ransom too a couple years back , ebay didnt want to know , it's changed so i hear so that's the road i'd go if i were negged.

I consider that the buyers job is done when they pay. Feedback is an eBay thing.

Superior customer service offers follow up after the sale.

I would refund, block and move on.

i dont want a note, i dont want a friend, i dont want free shipping, i just want what i paid for. i dont expect the seller to kiss my a$$, or send me thank you notes, and i find it appalling that some people would actually consider it "poor communication" if a seller doesnt include a thank you note with the item, what communication is needed ? you pay for the item, it gets sent to you, end of the transaction. what is it that entitles you to a thank you ???? and why shouldnt you thank the seller for allowing you the opportunity to buy his product ?? ever consider how much thank you cards, pens, and time this would essentially WASTE if the seller does any volume at all ?? who should pay for all that ? should the seller raise his shipping rates to pay for all those thank you cards, as well as the pens and the extra hours a week it takes to fill them out then you can ding him on the shipping as well or just eat the extra expense along with all the fees he is already paying for ? is your life really that meaningless that you require a thank you note ?
regardless of how many posts I have, I don't consider myself an "expert" at anything

I cannot believe how many people on this thread get their feelings hurt and ding a seller because he/she didn't say "thank you" on the package somewhere. I mean sure it is good customer service but I could give a crap if I get a thank you and certainly do not ding a seller either. I am trying to picture the people that have way too much time on their hands searching for a thank you somewhere on the package and just cant stop laughing.

"The seller just doesn't appreciate me, oh boy I will sure show him. Kiss those stars good-bye!!"

I feel the same way. Unless someone really (and I mean really) drops the ball and gives no effort to make the situation right, then giving anything but five stars and a positive feedback just doesn't seem right to me. Why go out of your way to hurt somebody? Who gains?

I agree. As a buyer, I dont give a crap about any of that stuff. Just send me what I paid for, and send it quickly.

But, as sellers, we need to recognize the reality that many buyers DO care about that stuff. We also need to recognize the reality that buyers are a precious commodity, and sellers are a dime a dozen.

I'm sure you are right. I'm not an E-bay seller, so I wouldn't know. But as a guy who worked in retail much of his life, I understand that some "customers" are best off being avoided. You can never do enough for them, they do not want you to make any money, and they are never happy. I would image the same is true for people who make a living off of E-bay.
