just got back from the grocery store buying food for the cats. cashier gives me change, casually I look at it...Hmmmm Interesting look on that cent. Blues, reds...quickly flip it over..its a wheat.

Out to car, drive over here...rush in, get loupe, pull out change...there it IS.

I need new glasses...

I guess so! It is bad when you can't tell the difference between wheat stalks and Memorial buildings.

I usually always carry a 10X hastings triplet lens in my pocket. A handy little thing that comes in handy for times like this.

There were some stains on the back, sort of looked like wheat ears I suppose.

I guess I dont need to look for 29/36 overdate mercury dimes.......
