Got My Lincoln Dollars Roll At The Bank Today

Had gone in Tuesday and they had some coming so I went back today
and got 4 rolls. First ones I haven't had to get from a dealer in a long time.
I had read that the Fed was getting more out to banks and so they are.

    Good job waiting. Face value for coins is the way to go. Now I only wish the mint would forgo their outrageous markup on first spouse coins and let us get them for an acceptable markup.

    I sold a pistol the other day and the guy gave me 5 Prezzy bucks to make up for the short case and the Lincoln Dollar he gave me was full Proof-Like. Pretty cool. First one I've got in any kind of change.

    Yes, there is no value in presidential dollars except the errors. SOme thought the Lincoln dollar might bring excitement to the presidential dollar series, but so far doesn't seem like it is helping much. As the series progresses and no more errors surface it should only help the value of the washington and adams missing edges along with the adams double struck.

    They can be just beautiful to look when you take them from the rolls and spend them. Just keep in mind the US Govt has billions of these warehoused...to the point of stretching the storage capabilities of the system.

    Errors, yes $ there but the true delight is using a nice shiny coin in everyday use. It seems like Real money.
