America the Beautiful 5oz on Shop at Home?

Can anyone confirm this? I heard they were selling sets in NGC holders for over $3,500? Nothing on their website, but a friend of mine said he had seen them being advertised on Shop at Home's Coin Vault.

Shop at Home and Coin Vault are two separate companies, but here is what Coin Vault had last week.

Thanks for the screenshots. Where did you find that?

I have to say...This is outrageous. How in the World were they able to obtain that kind of quantity when these are supposed to be limited to 1 set per address. This program has been a winning lottery ticket for the distributors.

You've touched on something that I've believed for a long while. That is that the Mint should hold a lottery for all retail issues during the 1st month, or least the first two weeks, of availability. Begin registration a couple of weeks ahead of release so that mail orders can get a piece of the action, too.

BTW, Mike Mesak is affiliated with CSN and Home Shopping Network, HSN.
I would expect to see the coins on Coin Collector next week's show, if not tomorrow night.

The NGC "Gem BU" sets will probably be all the dogs, being treated like bullion by the Mint there is quite a few. Maybe 3 out of the 5 in a set would be a 69 IMO----------------------BigE

I'd love to see the people who actually bought those for that price. I bet they have bolts in their necks.

Did anyone actually see the show? Does is appear that they have these coins in hand, or are they like the rest of us...waiting?

I watched the stream of the show. They did not have them in hand. Said they were getting graded/slabbed.

NGC? Not been doing their homework. Unfortunately, some poor soul will think they hit the jackpot.
