    Good work!

This is a immensely sad example of poor impulse control, poor management of infantile narcissism, and absolute lack of personal accountability.

Karma is too good a word to link with this type of behavior.

sad that someone would go that far. lets not lose sight over what's really at hand here, and that is, we lost a good friend.

Too sad, too true. And it's always a pleasure to encounter someone who can spell "narcissism" and use it correctly in a sentence.

Never had any dealings with Mr. Kiefer and I think I first showed up around here in 05 or 06 and to me it was pretty clear that he was the Wonder Kid of the community. Very sad indeed.

Typically I wouldn't even comment on a thread like this since I didn't know the guy, but felt I wanted to pile on the BNB guy who used a Funeral Home Guest Book to make his "Look at me" post. For him to draw a comparison here and grab the moment is without merit and provides no added value. Whoever called him a narcissist earlier nailed it. Really, really nailed it.

Condolences to the young Kiefer family. Hope and pray they find the strength to persevere. In an instance like this you have got to think about the family and their pain and tragedy and apparently Mr. BNB isn't that deep of a thinker.

Don't even get me started about him leaving a link to his business in his ridiculous post.

I'm a friend of Cameron's who took objection to the questionable comments made about him in his guest book regarding "Taking money from other people and not returning it". That was not the place for that. I don't know who you are, but I PM'ed you because I read your original post about bnb and how you'd like to meet him at a local show. all i was trying to do was help you out and give you a list like you asked for.

I'm still new aroung here; I do not know the parties involved or what happened, so I have been refraining from making a comment. Forgive me for interjecting.
BNB puts Mr. Potter from "It's a Wonderful Life" to shame.
What sort of self-hatred and low esteem must you descend to in order to express anything less than condolences at a time like this, especially at the holidays when family tends to be closer? I know one who has dealt with suicide of a parent. They will never be over it.

BNB can also be redeemed. It just seems like he doesn't listen.

I never interacted with Cameron, so no comment except for the obvious: emotional thinking led to this tragedy and when feeling so down, bad ideas like this seem like the only way out, but who knows what tomorrow holds.

You really feel so down and put out, BNB? Don't ever bash or promote yourself on someone's memorial page, especially in this case. ever. I would think it would be obvious to you since you feel so down and put out. Would you like the same to happen to you?

I thought of BNB when I read about this, but it looks like BNB has to "hit rock bottom" so people can get through to him. From the looks of the post I read, he hasn't yet. BNB can't get help if he doesn't follow advice. Two wrongs don't make a right, but the second wrong doesn't make the first one go away either. Luckily, BNB, if you start to straighten things out, you can overcome the past. The same type of advice some on here was suggesting Re: Cameron's business dealings.

"Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad."

Very fitting to recite that. His guilt got the best of him I think. Still no reason to ruin others lives (his family) because of his actions. They say suicide is a selfish act and everytime I see it, it proves that it is.
I sincerely hope no one takes that the wrong way. I am not being disrespectful. Actually I'm disgusted that someone would do that to their family. Forgive me please if that's being too blunt at this time. This is just affecting me in a weird kind of way right now and those of you who know me by now know that I wear it on my sleeve.

I cant say enough how I hope his family can somehow find the strength that it is going to take to get thru this. As someone else said, I dont think the family ever gets over it, but I pray they find the strength to get thru it.

It is totally un-empathetic of the suicidal person's mental state.

If the person were thinking clearly they wouldn't do that sort of thing.

This is why suicidal people are hospitalized and their problems treated instead of being shunned and treated with disgust.

I think that many people would agree with your emotions, however, there is a time and place to "go there". I just don't believe that this would be that time. Sometimes, discretion is advised.

I'm really disgusted by the twisted, narcissistic posts of BNB at the memorial page... I pray that the guy gets help - he's obviously got some severe mental health issues.

Agreed, respect for the family now. Who can say that they don't read these pages.
I truly don't know what went on, but someone who commits suicide invariably sees no way else to end the pain, whatever the cause. If you find yourself there, or better, before, don't listen to your "inner voices" that say no one can help.
Swallow that last bit of ego remaining, ask for help.

I'm a stranger on this thread, so no more comments from me.

I appreciate our hosts allowing this thread to continue. I was shocked last night as I started to comprehend the news. This is as coin related as can be . . . as the enjoyment of things numismatic have brought us all together. The great chance that is this Forum brought all of us to know CK and the continuation of this Forum allows us to remember him in offhanded but positive ways for many years. Thanks to PCGS for that.

For so many of us this group of eclectic and bizarrely different numismatists has become a family of sorts. Sometimes dysfunctional, often irreverent, and occasionally humorous, we have existed in various iterations as members come and go, but there exists a core of positive people here that have made something unique in the world of numismatic communication and education. Bravo to you all for what you have done and I hope you stop to reflect on how much many of you mean to others, including those here.

We'll miss Cameron for a long time.

I got no list. If you are, indeed, a friend of Cameron's, do not take what I said as an insult. We, who have been here to see the rise, and after the debacle in Cameron's guestbook, the meteoric fall of BNB, I, personally, can't be too careful in what I say and to whom.

I have lurked on this forum for some time with a very rare posting. Cameron's posts have always been of interst in one way or another to me. All I can say to his family in a time such as this is..."Do not pray for a lesser load, but pray for broader shoulders." God only gives us what we can handle and if he has other plans for us, then we should take comfort in knowing that we had a special value that God needed for us to be with Him. Bless this family and offer any support for a time such as this. It is times like this that should bring all of us together!

This is truly a tragic ending. I am so sorry for Cameron's family.

A very close friend of mine committed suicide last year. I wrote about here and found a lot of support.

This is one of the things that saddens me most. I know it is hard on many levels but reaching out to friends can be very therapeutic and healing. We've seen, more than once, a forum "family" member hurt, in trouble, needing help. And many folks here jump in with everything from sensible advice to financial support.

I wish we'd had the chance to help rescue this poor boy and his family. Perhaps it wouldn't have made a difference. But I'd like to have tried.

I understand about all the business dealings that went bad, but its real unfortunate that it had to end like this. Its really ashame as he was a great guy. I remember him teaching that grading seminar and class at the convention when he worked for ICG. I actually spent a few hours with him that day and really enjoyed it. Is also ashame that someone couldnt have helped him get through this business issue before it came to this. My prayers go out to him and his family.

Most of us here are men, and I hope as men, moving forward, that we can all at least agree to strive to remember not only what it means to be a gentleman, but a gentle man on these boards. "To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.” One thing is for sure: Everyone makes mistakes. An when someone here makes a mistake, there are two ways we can handle it. We can chastise that person, or be understanding

I just thought this from timcoin on the other thread was well worth a re-post. I could not agree more and I vow to follow this genuinely heart felt advice as best as I can going forward.

To say I'm shocked is a bit of an understatement. I don't frequent these boards all that much anymore so I come today and read about THIS? Unbelievable. I've had lunch with the guy many times during the Long Beach shows over the past 8 years or so...he was a great kid (to me a kid anyway)...I just can't believe this was his solution to whatever problem he might have had....unreal...just unreal.

And whoever has been writing some negative things about Cameron...please stop...you evidently didn't know him. Just stop...geez.

I think this is wrong. after my earlier statements about him, I have realized I had went a bit too far. I was pm'ed by the forum's own (d.w) reminding me that what I said was inappropriate. I don't think "boycotting" anyone or making him the talk of a show is the way to deal with it. His comments were off topic and that's what made them inappropriate, but after reading them, I don't get the feeling that he was trying to disrespect Cameron. actually having read them now, I should have probably held back from that remark I made about wishing his death. It was made out of haste.

Piecesofme, shame on you for you that. Give yourself a resting period before you type on this thread for a night, you are not winning any friends by those comments you made earlier either.
