what can we do to save the sampleslabs.com website?

I am so bad in saving websites.

Cameron created this website and it should be saved if at all possible.

Take up a collection and help out his his wife and put this website in a public domain in which the annual domain fees are paid way in advance?

I will start with $25.00 to start and contribute to this cause?

Anyone care to help contribute this?

Possibly PCGS could help out and even add this to Coinfacts?

Of course, Cameron's wife would have to make the final decision?

Possibly the ANA would put it on their website permanently helped by a tax deductible contribution by each of us?

I would do the same $25 contribution.

Perhaps PCGS would agree that this would be the best way to go?

This would also pay a tribute to Cameron for the good work he did do in recording the history of sample slabs.

I don't have the current log-in information anymore, but I do have the entire website on my hard drive, since I maintained it for Cameron (granted the updates went dry a few years ago; all that really happened since was the website got renewed). If the domain can get transferred, I'm happy to host it on one of my accounts.

No need to throw in money - I can host with my main account at GreatCollections and it won't cost a penny, providing his wife is okay with it. We should make sure and give Cameron full credit for this site - I've used it many times in the past myself. Great resource.

The fees for such an endeavor are actually quite trivial so it could be done by anyone with a real interest in keeping the site, or a similar site, active.

No worries. I downloaded a local copy of the whole site, so when the time is right (and we have permission), we can easily upload (I just didn't want the site to disappear one day).
