40% Bi- Centenial Kennedy with no MM .....?

I was searching rolls of halfs and found a Bi centenial half that looks silver.. but it has no mint mark. The weight is 11,50 grams. My question is..Did Philadelphia make a 40% silver half dollar..Its not in the red book.

there were special strikes for this year which are exceedingly rare......does it appear to be a proof?

How accurate is your scale? Could be a regular Philadelphia Mint copper-nickel piece (11.34 grams) that was silver plated.
