Here are some loose wrestling items. I have the three primary sets on my wall in the 36 card display holders.

1983 Heavy Weight Champions
First, are these 1982 cards slightly smaller or larger than the standard modern sports cards? I notice they put them in the slabs with the larger openings used for the early '50s Topps and Bowman cards, and put the cards in a soft plastic holder inside the slab. Just curious...
Second, is that first 1982 Hogan slab cracked on the right side? Did it come from PSA like that, or did you buy it on the bay?
Either way, nice cards! I can appreciate the pride you have in your collection.
The Hogan came that way. The card is not damaged thankfully. If you saw this card raw it is unreal. I thought I had a 10 when I pulled this from the sealed set I bought which produced many 9's and 10's.
They tend to pressure the holder becuase of their larger size.
You would be stunned at how hard it is to get a mint card because of top to bottom centering.
If you check the pop report see how many cards are in the qualifier category.

His card in PSA 10 would be worth something just no idea what. I have never subbed any from the 1987 Topps set so I have no idea how hard they are to get in that high of grade.
As for Macho Man, this card is going to be so hard to find in mint or higher as it is an O-Pee-Chee card with all the bad centering and ruff cuts you would expect. I really have no idea what a card like this would bring. So many of the cards from this set are 90/10 centering or have awful edges. I was really pleased to get an 8.5 and I am going to work on getting a better one.

You can tell by the backs of the cards of the 1982 that they are snugg in these holders.

WTB: PSA 1 - PSA 3 Centered, High Eye Appeal 1950's Mantle
The series 2 can be found on a regualr basis and the top card is the Macho Man Rookie. To appreciate them you have to be ready for O-Pee-Chee cards.
Super ruff cut as I said and brutal centering. The second set does not have the star power but trust me the regular set with the Hogan rookie is going to blow up.
You simply can't find them and a high grade will do huge numbers as some of the biggest wrestling buyers are in Canada.
Is the supply just not in abundance? There's gotta be a few of them in secret stashes around north america....Although I don't collect wrestling I'm fascinated by them the history of this sport is great in the early 80's.

Sets do surface but the real tough part is finding them in high grade.
The centering, printing issues and banged up corners are such problems with these cards.
If you check the population report there are a ton of PSA 9 OC which I have gotten many times. You can find a mint card but the top to bottom centering kills your grade so many times.
These are some of my loose cards as I mentioned and now that I have a scanner up and running I will put some of the better ones up soon.

Here are three of the toughest cards in the set. Bruiser Brody was a machine and his card is so tough! Harley Race is proving to be the toughest card in the set which only makes since with him being the baddest dude in real life ever in wrestling! Mil Mascaras most likely will never surface in Gem Mint like the other yellow cards Andre and Hogan due to top to bottom centering and being in the front of the deck.

Here is the PSA 9 Bruiser Brody, I bought out a number of other cards from another collector and he had the other Bruiser Brody 9, this has better centering and is an absolutely awesome card.
I have close to 20 of the Brody and this one is the best!

I have three PSA 9 OC and just did not want to chance it not showing up for a while or ever.
I am really pumped about the Brody as he has become on of my top five after seeing so much of his stuff on YouTube. That dude was bad!

Gino Hernandez one of my all time favorite's and Tully Blanchard when they were a tag team named The Dynamic Duo
Advertisment and the only way to buy them, 1982 A was only available for a few months in the magazine
1982B which is the most rare and many sets were thrown out along with the 1983 set
Here is the orginal scan of the first set I bought with the PSA 9 Hogan and Lawler, I wish my Hogan had better centering but it is still a very sharp card. I got both of these reholdered so the extra plastic would be on the back side and they look much better.

This Hogan is a stunner, going to try and cross this one as well.
I realize the chances are low with big money cards but I will take the gamble one of these days.
1983 Wrestling All Stars Superstar Graham Gem Mint
If this had a different picture I think it would be a more sought after card. Superstar was the first card so finding nice corners is very tough.
This is the photo used for Hogan's card. All of the pictures were used prior in the magazine's and some are from the mid 70's that are used on the cards. This one is from 1981
I have bought up some of the magazines with the shots that were used on the cards which I though was pretty cool.
Hogan photo used again in 1983. They merged two magazines together in 1983 and then were put out of business by 1984 when Vince Jr. quit using them for programs and took away all of their media privledges.

I thought that was Gino and Chris Adams.
After graduating, he trained as a wrestler and eventually wrestled for Southwest Championship Wrestling (SCW), where he also held a number of backstage production and creative positions. Blanchard was very successful in SCW, starting out as a face and teaming with his father in a feud with Dory Jr. and Terry Funk. He later teamed regularly with Gino Hernandez in the heel tag team "The Dynamic Duo", which held both the World and Tag Team titles. Eventually, Hernandez left for World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) and formed a second version of The Dynamic Duo with Chris Adams. Blanchard then began wrestling with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) Mid-Atlantic promotion. Hernandez died in 1986; Adams died in 2001. Blanchard is the only surviving member of The Dynamic Duo.
