1st subs in over a year & I do 2 subs at one time. Day 13 play by play developments

Day 1: fill out forms, pack items and go to post office and ship priority mail. after shipping items start to worry that u missed filling out something that could delay your orders, (take nerve pill and try not to worry).

Day 2: in the postal workers hands and bouncing around the country. (hope & pray mailman isn't a thief or card collecting addict)

Day 3: supposed to be delivered , but it is Saturday and PSA is closed. ( hope the mailman doesn't take the package home to give it a full examination).take another nerve pill.

Day 4: Sunday, everything is closed. (Hope the postal worker isn't at a card show showing off your cards) take another nerve pill.

Day 5: Delivered to PSA YEA!! (Hope your package doesn't get thrown under a 45 day 200 card sub)take another nerve pill

Day 6: still laying around waiting to be checked in and recognized. (u go through in ur mind did I sign and fill out everything properly & did I use the right credit card not the expired one.)

Day 7: Happiness happens you go to your account and see that both your orders have been checked in and are being processed. yippie (Now you start to worry, who of the 4 professional graders +1 +? is going to grade my cards).take two nerve pills.

Card Grader Breakdown:

Grader 1: "Doctor roll the Dice", he doesn't look at the cards , what ever number the dice adds up minus the number of shots of whiskey he had at lunch or breakfast is the grade you get. example: 12 - 5 shots = PSA 7 just roll the dice.

Grader 2: "Doctor Death" who has never given a grade of PSA 10 and of the last 10,000 cards only 10 of those were PSA 9's, and Dr. Death's favorite phrases are EOT or minsiz requirement , miscut.

Grader 3: "Doctor Happy" depending on how he feels after taking his medication. He loves even numbers of the last 10,000 cards graded 4,000 PSA 10's 4,500 PSA 8's the remaining 1500 are all over the place anywhere from PSA 2 to PSA 6 these are usually given out at the end of the month because he is almost out of medication.

Grader 4: "Doctor Maybe" maybe it is an 8 or maybe it is a 9 so I'll give it an 8.5. of the last 10,000 cards 8,800 were given 7.5 or 8.5 grade. 200 were given 10.5 rounded down to PSA 10, the remaining 1,000 were 1.5 to 6.5 maybe.

Grader +1: "Doctor One Eye" since his vision is 20/200 and could only afford 1 contact lens depending on which eye he uses a PSA 4 could easily be a PSA 9 and vice versa, just hope you get the right eye.

Grader unknown mystery : information is still being gathered further info will be updated when available.

tomorrow- day 8 watch and wait for the exciting developments.

If you did a special it is crap shoot on when they come back. I got so lucky my first special I subbed in the length of time it took which took 8 days and my second special took 67 and 69 days. The weekends and holidays dount count so it may be a while or it may be lighting fast.

I would suggest not checking your account many times a day like I did for two months, you begin to get impatient.

    Good luck with the results!
  • Day 8: Your order is still being processed.

after clicking the refresh button 791 times it still reads: Your order is still being processed.

I think I now have a case of carpal tunnel, who can I blame for this besides myself??? legally blame that is? (the ISP, PSA, HP computer/mouse or McDonald's for serving hot coffee with caffeine or all of the above)

Grader unknown mystery: information is still being gathered further info will be updated when available.
"Dr Unknown M" was sited earlier today entering the back door of the PSA facility (sorry no pics available) he was wearing a hood & what appeared to be a bullet proof vest and was accompanied by an unknown female. it has been rumored that he is a fair grader this has yet to be proven. more info when avail.

time for another nerve pill and add a pain pill for the carpal tunnel.
submissions can be nerve racking and these are only 5 day subs, can't imagine the pressure of a 45 day sub.

must now go to bed to get ready for day 9. hold on gonna click the refresh button a few more times. ahhhh Your order is still being processed Your order is still being processed Your order is still being processed Your order is still being processed Your order is still being processed Ahhhhh

waiting for Oct 22nd sub still-----"It's starting to look alot like Christmas......"
  • Day 9: Your order is still being processed.

not much of an eventful day, took enough nerve & pain medication to kill a small horse, due to the fact I knew the weekend was coming and if grades didn't pop on friday it would be the following week, since PSA is closed on Sat & Sun (Grrrr).

An armored car was spotted entering & leaving PSA, possibly to transport my cards? (Not) it was there just to pick up Doctor Death, Doctor roll the Dice and Doctor Happy rumored to be headed to Las Vegas to gamble and to do some off site illegal grading to pick up some extra cash to help pay for the armored car as Dr. Death received an all time high 987 death threats from 1:15 PM to 3:15 PM on Friday this breaking the old 2 hour death threat record by 27 threats.

The armored car was driven by the now retired Doctor Dart ( throws darts to determine the grade), we wish Dr. Dart the best in his new line of work.

PS: Your order is still being processed. Ahhhhhhhh

    What are you subbing?
  • Day 10 & 11 : bought some graded 1969 (LSD) pills they were graded (authentic), these are known for causing Hallucinations, this way if it is a good trip, I will hallucinate nothing but PSA 10's. Don't even want to think about a bad trip.

I really didn't need these because like everyone else that sends cards to be graded, I know all of my cards are PSA 10's or higher.

the reason for day 11 being posted now is I might be hallucinating to much to type tomorrow.

Somewhere over the rainbow my grades will pop and it will be strawberry fields forever, number 9 number 9 number 9 think positively number 10, # 10, # 10.

10/22/10.... day 37...not so much as even a peep out of PSA....Let me save you the trouble C/S.."It's in processing".
  • Day 12: don't eat the purple LSD really wild ride, saw colors for 3 days.

of course day 12 brings : Your order is still being processed ahhhhhhh.

we are getting close, I can feel it.
  • Day 13: your item has shipped.
Well the thrill is gone: I guess this is the reason I have not submitted cards in a while. The 86 Jordan rookie came straight from a pack out of a box I bought back in the day when boxes were only 1800 a box. here are the results:

    Submission 1:
    NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1991 STADIUM CLUB 94 BRETT FARVE expected at least a 9 or 10
GEM MINT 10 1979 TCMA ALBUQUERQUE DUKES 5 DAVE STEWART ??Happy but only expected 8 or 9 at best.
NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1986 FLEER 132 CHECKLIST 1-132 Card US knew the centering might get this in a 8 holder (tough card)

N3: EVIDENCE OF RECOLORATION 1986 FLEER 57 MICHAEL JORDAN I say bull #*@*#**#*#* hockey, really disappointed figured 8 or 8.5 straight from a pack. wait another year or 2 and try again. I just feel cheated this was the main reason I renewed my membership was to get this card graded, plus I was going sell it and then with the money join PCGS and send in about 60 more 86 fleer cards from the same box, but those are probably recolored too (not not not not not). really ticked/@#*#*#* off.

EXCELLENT 5 1975 TOPPS MINI 228 GEORGE BRETT what I expected
    NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1985 TOPPS WWF 1 HULK HOGAN what I expected
    Total Items: 6

    Submission 2:
MINT 9 1985 NIKE MICHAEL JORDAN BASKETBALL Card US
MINT 9 1985 NIKE MICHAEL JORDAN BASKETBALL Card US
NEAR MINT-MINT 8 1985 NIKE MICHAEL JORDAN BASKETBALL

just a little disappointed here figured at least one of these would go PSA 10 all came straight from the sealed sets into a holder, really sweet looking cards.

Oh well, one order is shipped and the other is still being processed. of course the order with the 86 jordan is the one that has shipped otherwise I would have called screaming for a review.
and to top this off today is my birthday another year older and little more slower and a little more broker. imageimageimageimageimage

    Eyebone,
What cards did you send in? Have you called them? Something could be wrong.
