Just Got A Phone Call From The Postmasters Enforcement Department.

I sent out 3k in 90% little over a week ago and I now get a call saying it looks like some items may have been taken from it.

I sent it registered mail and insured it.

Anyone ever have this happen?
I have shipped a lot with registered mail and never had any issues.

If it was shipped registered mail, the last person at the post office who signed for it will be talking to the postal inspectors shortly, if not already, and probably won't be having a good time.

  • Yeah the guy over the phone sounded really quite upset about the issue and said “i will find who did this and call you back”

I would prefer to believe that the perp. is a temporary seasonal employee, who won't mind spending the holidays in the slammer, but the odds of a temp. handling Registereds are rather long.

You need to give him a value with the influx of the silver price. That is what it costs today.

I tried that but whoever took the coins left the invoice and he took the value based off that.

Ill just make a sub corporation named “Flesh Eating Bacteria Cultures Of San Diego”

and do all my shipping under that name from now on.

I do believe, irregardless of the fluctuation of silver or PM's, the invoice price or date of transaction, whether you be the seller or buyer, will be the claim amount. How on earth will the USPS figure a partial claim? Tell them the missing items were 1 oz. each. It would be better for you to have the whole claim paid at the insured amount, let the PO have the remainder.
