You are bidding on a VERY RARE variation of grading service PCGS Morgan Silver Dollar!
This is BUNK!
Generic (minted by the millions) 1921-D Morgans submitted in bulk by some savvy TV telemarketer where they are not numerically graded, just a Gem Brilliant Uncirculated label applied...~Walaa~ instant rarity, NOT!
There are some good VAMs to be found on 1921-D's... I wish the pics were better and showed the reverse!
You Suck! Awarded 6/2008- 1901-O Micro O Morgan, 8/2008- 1878 VAM-123 Morgan, 9/2022 1888-O VAM-1B3 H8 Morgan | Senior Regional Representative- ANACS Coin Grading. Posted opinions on coins are my own, and are not an official ANACS opinion.
<< <i>Not sure on this one is one of them but at one time Welles Fargo bank had a bunch of them graded like that as a promotion IIMC. >>
Possibly, but it doesn't make sense that they would do that with some of the pricier coins that appear in these slabs. I would guess that Wells Fargo would just do a few bags of the commons like the 84-o 85-o. etc.
Sooo, in answer to my pondering, there's the guess of it being a Wells Fargo promo. Any other ideas? I wasn't picking on the seller, just asking about the label!
Have bought and sold on BST, many references available when asked.
The details escape me, sorry bout that, but they were made for Coin Vault or one of those similiar home shopping shows 4 or 5 years ago. They have nothing to do with Wells Fargo. Silver Dollar = Old West, i.e. stagecoaches. Just market hype.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
If you have a large enough quantity of coins, both NGC and PCGS will create a special label and the cost of the non-numerical grading (BU) is less than a the numerical grading (MS63).
