Alabama loses to South Carolina

I sure didn't see this one coming, this has to be one of the great highlights of Steve Spurrier's career.

It will be a quiet trip back to Tuscaloosa for the Bama team.

This really sucks, I mean it really SUCKS, but I have to give credit to the Ole Ball Coach.

First regular season lose since 2007. maybe we can still be a one-loss SEC championship winning team. If so, we may get a shot a defending our national championship. Maybe.

If ohio state and oregon and possibly Boise goes undefeated alabama will not have a shot.

I must say i am shocked. I thought bama would crush south carolina. Ohio state will be the new #1 but they have to play at wisconsin next week which is a tough place to win

I had a ticket to the game with my boys but had to give it up because my wife had commited me to something else......not happy with her. It was a great win for the SC program. Hopefully we have a shot at the SEC Championship game.

They really took advantage of our young defense, it was a great gameplan and execution by SC. We had the momentum going early in the third quarter and thought we were going to tie it up and eventually win, but that run by Maddox dragging 5 Bama defenders really changed the game and they just flat out beat us.

If it makes ya feel any better we came so, so close to upsetting your rival.

But perhaps you'll pull for us to beat the tar out of South Carolina next week?

Don't give up your national title quest--LSU won it all in 2007 with TWO losses (one of which came from us!

) after all.

Who here doesn't believe that a second tier SEC football team like Mississippi State or Kentucky would easily have 8 to 10 wins every year or more with Boise St. schedule? Sorry, but until they actually play at a high level against physical teams that also play at a high level, they will be nothing more than a novelty.

Maybe this BCS thing could be solved by having two championships, one for the major conferences and another
for the minor ones.

I hope our upset of South Carolina makes the resident Alabama fans feel a LITTLE better.

I know they would've liked us to upset their rival Auburn even better (we came up just short), but still it's gotta count for something.
