There's a full page and a half illustrated article beginning on page 22 of the new Coin World, by staff writer William T. Gibbs that introduces the Daniel Carr designed 1964-D Peace dollar fantasy strike. The article goes on extensively about the initial near 1,000 post thread I had started on the topic here (without actually naming me in particular) and many of the issues raised about it and the government striking of the 1964-D Peace dollar by posters.

    That was a very enlightening and informative thread that 'peace'fully discussed so many aspects of the issued coin, its creation, fabrication and its place in the hobby. Glad I got to read it.

    Yep. Counterfeiting coins, especially when done deliberately by someone "in" the hobby, is a fascinating subject. Really goes to the ethical and moral duplicity question.
