I put in a pretty huge snipe bid on this coin link and got a page that said "this ebay feature is not responding, please check the announcement boards" when I clicked the "confirm" button... Too bad for the both of us, because I really wanted it.

I was only going to bid up to $277, but I'm sure the winning bidder had a max of more than $300.
Seller definitely got short changed
(and I feel I did too!)

<< <i>I am not sure that I see a retianed cud either, it coul dbe just a die crack. The dentils don't look like they are offset, the die crack seems to stop and not go all the way for a fully retained cud. Although partially retained is fine too, I am just not sure it is a cud, tough photo to really tell with certainty. >>

I don't think this cud gets much attention, I may be wrong. It doesn't come up all that often from what I have seen, but it isn't as dramatic as some of the other cuds. Still, I would have thought it would get a higher price than it did. Thompson says this is the toughest die state for the variety (not suprising since they likely used the broken die for just a short period before it broke.)
