1964 D TYPE C Reverse Question???
I checked out the PCGS coinfacts guide and it has a price for this coin. Is this a realistic price for a type C reverse? I know they are scarce.
thanks in advance.

<< <i>What grade are you referring to? I have seen some unattributed ms 63's on TT go for around $200. >>
That is bull! Link the last unattributed 1964-D Type C in MS63 that went for 'around $200'. The last NGC MS64 went for $400, and that would never get into a PCGS holder at MS64...a PCGS MS64 is worth $450 MINIMUM (I know, I sold one for $450 to a forum member...I know of ONE that DID go for short money, but Mitch apparently was the only one that was tuned into it, and that was a Heritage coin). NO unattributed Type C in MS63 will go for $200. An attributed MS62 brought $110, not including the juice, and that was in May. CoinCrazy, show me an unattributed '64-D Type C in MS63 for $200 on TT...link it. The PCGS pops have risen by 17 since March of 2009, and the last 5 were mine 4 months ago (4 were graded total, one went in for regrade last month, after I sold it to a forum member, and it upgraded...the pop shows 35, but I know for fact, as I have the cert, it's only 34). Even UNATTRIBUTED Type C's in MS63 are going to go for more than $200, as those of us who know the varieties (Type B's and Type C's) aren't going to let them go cheap, especially the Type C's...there will be a bidding war. The NGC MS64 went crazy, and again, that coin won't get into our hosts plastic. The CU guide is spot on for pricing. I don't know where you get your info from CoinCrazy, but if you are looking at those MS63's that never sell on TT, with sequential cert #'s, then you don't have a clue, as those never sell, always are bid up to $200 or more, and never sell, and show up monthly. Show me the unattributed MS63 that went for 'around $200'.
edited to add 'last month'
That's what I like to hear as the Price Guide editor (J.H.) asked for my thoughts on pricing for these a while back.
Please always let me know where you think Ty B/C coins need adjustments (one way or the other) in the Price Guide and I can forward to J.H.

I need an MS65 Ty C quarter (I know, join the crowd). I think I can still buy one but the price would be "too high". But, I am getting older ... "too high" may be "just right" pretty soon. LOL

Successful Trades: Swampboy,
As far as CoinCrazy.....members refer to MadMarty as Marty, for just ONE example.....so relax...... I referred to Tdec1000 as Tdec
<< <i> So say coincrazy a few more times and I will grant you a wish!
If I cared in the least, or if it bothered me in the least, I'd say it (if I though it was a threat, I'd say it 100 times more, but...), but I have more class than that, as evidenced by my apology to you on the 'other' thread, only to get no response, after trying to be a gentleman. I'd rather talk about coins that I know something about, and can supply fact to back up my comments/info, instead of just throwing a dart at a dartboard and missing the board entirely.
