I have this Sierra Leone piece dated 2001. There is no denomination on it, diameter is 38.6mm and weight is 28.9g., proof strike. What is it? Coin or medal? Silver or CUNI? If silver, ASW? TIA.

My 2008 2d Ed. 21st Century volume lists, but doesn't have pictures of, a whole series of cu-ni "Big Five" dollar coins, including one with all five animals (Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Elephant, and Buffalo). Yours matches the Numismaster.com picture of KM#237, 28.28g, with an unspecified mintage. It's listed at $10 Unc/$12.50 BU. I have no knowledge about how accurate Krause pricing is on Sierra Leone coins, but I suspect the pricing is based on the issue price of these essentially "collector only" pieces.
