Nasty Belgian Surprise

Received a packet from Belgium that looks like it was torn open. The original packet and the remaining medal of the two won in ebay, were, in turn, placed in some sort of official Belgian plastic mailer.
Of course, the missing medal was the more desired and valuable of the two. It was to be partnered with a similar medal in my collection, commemorating the author of the Marseillaise.

Now I await the vendor's response to this issue.

Did you take photos of the package before you opened it?

No. I needed to open the official Belgian post wrapper to find out if the contents were there. The vendor's original mailer was enclosed, so I could not tell if the other item was within.

  • OT - Unfortunate incident. Do you happen to have an image you can post of the medal? As it turns out, I am a decendant of Roget de Lisle was actually looking around to see what, if anything, exists commemorating him (other than stamps with which I am familiar).

This makes me even more leery of the post I am waiting on from Greece for the last month. The seller has been evasive. Great. It was only like $10, but it just pisses me off. He claims to have posted it. So, I am giving him until exactly one month has gone by and a courtesy email to the seller before I report it to Ebay. Ridiculous.

I could not copy the image, so I sent a link to you privately.
