Need help with washington dollars First day cover

I have several boxes (20-21) of 20 unopened Washington First day cover and I can't find any on eBay for sale. I check previous sales but nada. I had been out of the hobby for about a year and have no idea of the fair market value for this. I am holding this for few more years anyways
Thanks!

FDI Pres dollars have TANKED, unless you come up with an MS68. Check Teletrade prices realized, and you'll see most can't get the submission fees back. Go through the boxes, and if you don't have at LEAST an MS67, or a MEL, spend 'em. I took a savage beating trying to get rid of mine....biggest mistake of my collecting life was getting involved in FDI Prez bucks. I won't even accept them as change if a cashier tries to dump one on me. Unless they promote a proof ASE for 2010, I've learned to stay away from anything the Mint promotes in the media. Not knocking modern collectors, but with the high mintages of these coins, especially the first year, if you feel a need to colect them, grab a Dansco and fill it up. At the end of the series, you'll at least have enough to buy a tank of gas

edited to add....of THIS, I AM sure.
    I'll come up with something.

How can a box be considered First Day of Issue ? i know and have some FDI in PCGS & NGC slabs
but how can a box be like that. Or is it the rolls are post marked at a post office or is there something else ??

They are not rolls. Every FDI is a 2 coins postcard like envelope. They get certify as FDI if they are on the original pack.

You have the First Day Coin Covers. A bit different than boxes. They'll grade them in the holder, much like a GSA holder, ATS.
    I'll come up with something.

These coins really got screwed over IMO......the tpg's did not recognize them for what they are...these covers (50,000) of them were made up from the coins of the

"FIRST DAY OF MINTAGE" as it states on the inserts ....

For some reason these were passed by and the boxes of GW's from banks were made into some kind of big deal...they are labeled "FIRST DAY OF ISSUE" millions of coins minted over a 3-4 month period.

    From ATS....2007 $1 GW Covers

A label across the top of the holder describes the cover and enclosed coins. If the coins are of matched grade, a single grade line appears. If they receive different grades, two lines of text are used to describe each coin individually. These coins will receive the "First Day of Mintage" designation, which is also used by the US Mint to describe these coins. The text on these covers reads, in part, "The George Washington $1 Coins showcased in this Official American Presidency $1 Coin Cover are coins struck on the first day of minting - November 9, 2006 (Philadelphia) and November 28, 2006 (Denver)."

Or you cold have them slabbed this way...

Submitters alternatively have the option of having coins removed from the US Mint coin cover and placed in NGC's EdgeView™ Holder with Presidential $1 Coin label. The designation "First Day of Mintage" will appear on the label. Submitters requesting this service should use the Modern Special grading tier, and clearly write on the submission form the instruction, "REMOVE FROM COVER." The US Mint Packaging is not returned, but instead is retained by NGC as proof of the designation. Also note that tier minimum quantity requirements do apply, and submitters of fewer than five coins must use Early Bird Tier.

So what you have are some of the "First Day Of Mintage" coins....these 50,000 coins from each mint (P&D) were pulled on the "First Day Minted"

The "First Day Of Issue" coins are some of the "Millions" of coins that were sent to banks by the Fed.....that were minted for months before there release on 2/15/07

    (P-21)....are the ones to keep.

IMO The coins you have are worth holding onto.......First Day Of Mintage 50,000 each from P&D vs. First Day Of Issue......Millions & Millions from each P&D.....

    a no-brainer IMO
