Secure Plus - Are they the REAL grades?

If you have an MS-68 that you submit under Secure Plus, will it come back at the REAL grade or is it guaranteed to continue to live as an MS-68? If the coin was somehow overgraded in the past, will it retain it's MS-68 grading or will it receive it's true grade of MS-67, MS-67+, etc.?
or worded differently... Is there anyway an MS-67 coin, in an MS-68 PCGS standard holder, can become an overgraded MS-68 in a Secure Plus holder?

The way I understand it is that secure plus insures that the coin will never be doctored. I suppose you could still resubmit a coin for a grade review.

Grades are opinions...nothing more.
The closest thing to a "REAL grade" is whatever the buyer believes.
As curly pointed out, secure plus insures that the coin will never be doctored. You can still resubmit a coin for a grade review.

Maybe not, but I think that's at least what Secure Plus was designed to do. (Although it's probably "ensures" instead of "insures"...)
Secure Plus was not designed to be the final answer for the grade of a coin.

the strongest statement one can accurately make is that "IF the secure plus coin is cracked out and doctored, and IF the coin is then submitted for secure plus, THEN PCGS would notice."
it's still not real clear what happens then. we assume they bag the coin (no "genuine" holdered secure plus coins) but what else besides returning it. do they "out" the culprit?

both are correct, the coin upon regrade both in the past and now could down grade. Regardless of service used. >>
let's not forget on top of all the correct above - the coin may be deemed ungradeable , and go into a genuine only ; or even a body bag .

I would imagine that would be an extremely rare occurrence.
