Stack's will conduct the next three(2011,2012, 2013) summer ANA sales

Just looked at the Stack's site under News, and see that Dave Bowers stated the above.

You would think the ANA would really give that some thought though. At the Stacks pre-ANA sale I picked up the finest graded 1771 GB Halfpenny (MS66RB by the way) for a pittance. It was hidden away on page 12 or so of the catalog with the other 14 lots of World coins, and not advertised at all. While I paid a bit for it ( I put in a place holder bid early which is what I won it for) that only came out to about 50% of my max bid. And I only got it that cheap because their online bidding system did not work AT ALL.
So I saved money, the consignor left money on the table. Another lot I was going to bid on, but had not pre-bid, went for about 1/2 it's value, but only because I could not bid online. If they can't get real time bidding right, and do a decent job of advertising, what makes the ANA think it's a good deal for them long term?
I know at this point I would not consign anything to them until I see a couple of major auctions where everything works correctly. And with the Heritage customer list and marketing prowess I would probably put better coins in a non-sanctioned pre-auction they were holding.

Congrats to Stacks/ANR - they are quality people.
It now will free up Heritage to have 10,000 lot sales before the show.

I agree with the congratulations to Stacks but I think you might even be low on the 10,000 lot sales?
Heritage very rarely auctions material in my prime collecting interest while Stacks auctions often includes material I'm interested in.

Isn't that the way it is now?

No, because that's already "the way it is now".

Aren't there auctions at essentially every coin show (i.e., every Long Beach, every FUN, etc.)? I was thinking of a move toward an auction at January FUN, the ANA shows, and then maybe one or two more during the year at some of the other shows at most.
