Ever heard of Morphy Auctions?

DAMDAM Posts: 2,410 ✭✭
I received a catalog today from Morphy Auctions. They have a number of coins being aucioned on Aug 24th. Looks like they auction a little bit of everything.

Some nice coins. 16-D Mercury "described" as UNC.

You better like what you bid on. Their disclaimer... * SALES ON ALL COINS ARE FINAL. aLL COINS ARE SOLD AS IS WITH NO RETURNS*.

    No returns = No bids

Thanks all for the info. I wasn't interested in anything, just curious.

I expect that they obtained your information from any business you had done with Legend since they were the auction house that Legend teamed up with a few years ago when Legend attempted to enter the auction business.

  • Those guys are back?

They want to be coin dealers in the worst way. They should stick to their tin toys.

I haven't heard that. The last time I looked, they were one of the preeminent auction houses for antique toys, banks, collectibles, etc.
