Have you guys seen this edge view holder?
The coins look pretty cool, although I have only seen a SBA in one in person. The SAC on the website looks nice. I wonder how difficult pics would be with that extra reflection?
I wonder if the main stream TPG are looking into this? Here is the website. They are called Halo360(TM) Holders.

What do you think?

No Way Out: Stimulus and Money Printing Are the Only Path Left
If your mothers never taught you that lesson about not having something nice to say, then maybe that is why the rudeness shows. I am in Tampa, FL and a coin dealer had a flyer and promo coin in his shop.
I am not speaking of the grading company, I was just wondering what people thought of the Halo thingy.
I will stop before I really let people know how I feel. It wa a simple question.

Looking for Top Pop Mercury Dime Varieties & High Grade Mercury Dime Toners.
I was at a show in STL and was pulled over for there spew. It was an ugly holder and an uglier coin, a prez dollar.
As I said before...
Their website is confusing about which series they slab and turnaround time. This is in red at the top of their page about the new holder. Not very inspiring and makes me question their survival. I'm not interested in any of the series they appear to be targeting, FWIW.

PRODUCTION UPDATE (Mar 11, 2010) - Due to overwhelming demand and a delay in the reflective coating portion of our production process, delivery of orders for slabs with Halo360TM rings have been backordered to late March / early April. However, we are still accepting orders and will fill them, along with the existing backorders, in the order they are received. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your understanding!
When production does catch up with demand in the coming weeks, Halo360TM rings will be available and included in our standard grading/slabbing fees for the following coins: Sacagawea Dollar, Presidential Dollar, First Spouses and Susan B. Anthony Dollar. Rings are currently being developed for the Capped Bust Half Dollar, and follwed soon after by other Silver Dollars. By year's end, we intend for Halo360TM rings to be available for all coins and integrated into all our slabbing services.
Haven't seen them yet, but I see that they will be at the BRNA next week.
I'll reserve my opinion till then.

typos in their website aside, why again do I want an "annymous" grading service locking my coins in a plastic holder??
without the grading guarantee and the marketability of the opinon, if I want to look at the edge of my coin, I'll carefully remove it from the flip or album and view it unobstructedly

I would have to see more of them, in person, to form a better opinion.
I don't want them slabbing my coins....yet.

<< <i>I like the edge view gasket (a lot), and that's it. Their best chance for success is to sell or license these to PCGS or NGC, because it's better at letting you see the edge of the coin than what either PCGS or NGC offers at this time. I don't see a realistic chance for much success as a grading company. >>
Thats is my thoughts on the edge view myself. I would like to see a CBH in one, but I think it would be great it was an option at the mainstream TPG.

<< <i>I don't think they have a snowballs chance of actually making it >>
One concern is that a flaw in the halo gasket could appear as a flaw on the edge of the coin, causing much confusion.
I would expect PCGS (or NGC) might be interested. Not easy to incorporate into NGC slabs as they do not use a gasket.
