eBay user ID: panin-4-gold

Has anyone had any dealings with panin-4-gold on eBay? I just received an e-mail asking "can I return it if I decide not to keep it?" Why would someone bid on and then pay for an item only to ask such a question? Of course I've already provided feedback since they've paid... they only have 1 negative in the past 6 months.

I would stick with whatever my return policy is in the listing. Surely buyer read the listing.

"A car is a tool that takes you from one place to another. Everything beyond that is a payment for other people's perception of you."

He seems to be a good buyer... was wondering more about the logic then whether I should accept the return.

Same logic as a lot of ebay buyers. They jump first and then realize they should have asked questions later. If he asked before paying, he's just looking for assurance he's not getting ripped. Good communication will make it a good sale.

Who ever said people are logical never met any other people!

It has been my experience that people who ask questions like that will be much more likely to get buyers remorse and want to return the item.

I would tread very carefully here unless you want to be out your time and shipping expenses.

If you sell good items, then I wouldn't worry about it.
Either he will keep it or he will return it and you should be able to sell it again without too much hassle.

Maybe he got caught up in the bidding and afterwards, so something caught his eye about it or someone else mentioned something about it, so he is being more cautious.
By him asking, that sounds a lot better than if he didn't ask and just returned it (like a scammer or problem person would most likely do).

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Two or three times I have sent sellers some type of communication that was similar to what you have received. In each case it was because the seller either was not completely clear as to their policy or had left some detail out. However, once I sent this type of message to someone who stated he would not accept returns and I did this because I was willing to pay far more than any guide for the coin, but could not bid so high on a coin I could not inspect in-hand. The seller agreed that I could return the coin if i was not happy and I ended up winning and keeping the coin. The seller made out quite well, too, because I bid at the last moment and another specialist bid at that time, too. The other specialist put in a very strong bid, but my bid ended up winning. Without my bid, the seller would have received some $600 less for his coin.

Unless an item is not as described I dont like taking refunds.

people can buy a coin on ebay say a pcgs ms65 morgan and say its not as nice as they thought and return it.

Im not selling the coin to you only if you think it will sticker/upgrade- if you dont want to take the risk DONT BID
may the fonz be with you...always...

It's a modern PR70DCAM with cert # and all that sold and was paid for a few days ago... just thought it odd that he asked if he changed his mind (not if the coin was unsatisfactory) if he could return the coin.

I should add that in my cases I sent the messages before I bid and several days before the auctions closed.

I would expect that... but to receive the message 3-4 days after payment was sent, just seemed a little odd to me.
