PCGS Grades are in

coinkatcoinkat Posts: 22,802 ✭✭✭✭✭
Not bad a bad result overall-

Lets start in Mexico

1922 Peso- MS65
1923 Peso- MS65
1932 Peso- MS64

I still believe high grade so called common dates from the 1920s are real condition rarities- This went as well as could be expected-

Canada

1918 50 cents AU50- a sad day as the ex-Ajaan has been upgraded but I will keep the ex-Ajaan coin because of its numismatic link to greatness

1930 Cent= MS64 BN- I thought this was an exceptional coin- on these George V small cents, I still write and say- when in doubt-submit- I have had good luck with these and I remain convinced it is luck as this coin is as good as I have seen for the series and the luck may not have been with me this time.

1913 Cent MS64RD- Okay-

GB

1841 1/2d -MS65 RB-nice coin and nice resulr
1893 1/2 Crown MS64- Well... okay

China

I am never going to get a 1934 in a 65 holder- so it seems

1934 Yuan- MS64
1933 Yuan- MS63

Philippines- and this will likely create the most interest

1915-s Centavo AU58- Nice coin- nice result
1911-s Centavo- genuine- it happens to all of usimage- time to learn and move on
1921 Centavo- MS63BN- I admit mistakes and this was one

Straight Settlements

1895 Cent - 63BN- A decent coin- graded a point higher than I expected

Panama

1947 Balboa- MS65
1930 1/2b- MS62- I need to look at this one again
1930 1/4B- AU58- "

Last stop is France and a coin purchased from Civitas-

1812W 5 FR- EF45 - I like the coin and the grade, in my view, is appropriate

edited for typo for Balboa

Hi kat, the grades look great to me. Congrats.

1911-s Centavo- genuine- it happens to all of us- time to learn and move on

Time to learn that it's practically impossible to make a submission and not have at least one labelled Genuine? image

Thank you for sharing! Nice coins.

I agree getting a 65 on the 1934's is harder than one thinks...I have only made it to 63 a number of times...

I'm speechless. image My wife would call it numismatic geekness though.

Canada 1c 1913 MS64RD is a pretty nice grade, of course, I haven't seen the coin. numismatic geekness

The 1841 GB 1/2 D in 65RB is my favorite of course, congrats.

Congrats on the 1841 1/2D. Best I've been able to find so far is a 63RB.

Nicely done, Kat. The 1841 1/2D in MS65RB is a difficult grade to attain.
Sorry you lucked out on the 1930 cent. Better luck next time. image

The reality is I had the highest hopes for the 1930 Canadian Cent-

I suspect that based past submissions, this one could go 65-Funny thing is the 64 grade, while a disappointment, is not the biggest disappointment among the group.

At the moment- the 1930 1/2 Balboa that graded 62 is a huge disappointment- maybe I have the learning curve on this one and it may not be in my collecting interest

For a guy with such an expanded interest, I think that you're doing extremely well. I just received an AU58 on a Cyprus coin that I had as a 63. image
It would just be much nicer if you could provide some images, both for you and for us. If you can't do it yourself, trust me, it's worth every penny of the fees paid to a talented member.

    Dimitri-

I appreciate your confidence to even make the suggestion.

It is truly a sad moment that my technicial skills are sooo bad (and this is my problem) that more coins fall short of being posted here

    It will eventualy change

They are definitely stingy with the 5's on Junk dollars - the only one I have ever had make it was a year 21! Since your two clearly aren't up to snuff, want to sell them to me? image

While I was not expecting miracles with the '33, I can say this this is the 4th 64 with the 1934 that was a 64- I am trying to remember if they are all PCGS- one could be NGC- I know my Birds is an NGC 64

I saw a Birds in a 65 holder at the last show I attended priced at $5500- I was surprised- not sure what a 64 will bring these days

I never see any graded Chinese coins on coin show. All the delaers are raw chinese coins only and most of them are graded QA if send them to NGC.
