When did PCGS start grading patterns?

    I have seen patterns in rattlers, so I would assume from the beginning.

    PCGS will, in general, slab anything the Mint produced (including medals), so I would think that patterns have always been slabbed.

    If you want to see some nice patterns, see the thread thanking PCGS for the superphotos.
